Hell in Normandy

Do you love WII films? This is a must see.
The film is set in the days leading up to the invasion of
Normandy, now well known as D-Day. In the film a special parachute unit has been
assigned to destroy a German installation on Omaha Beach. American commandos
drop into occupied Normandy.
Led by Captain Murphy the group is then aided in penetrating a
German flame throw installation by a German Spy. Penetrating the installation is
critical to the upcoming invasion. Although Murphy is somewhat doubtful of the
success of the mission, Lt. Strobel is determined the base must be destroyed in
order for the invasion to take place. The two have several disagreements
regarding the best way to proceed.
Beyond the fact that this is simply an exciting film, one of the best features
of this film is the cinematography. It appears to have actually been shot in
France, so unlike many war films, which are not shot actually on location. The
scenery is right on target and looks quite real. Everything is authentic from
the vehicles to the weapons to the uniforms. This is one film that ranks top
notch in terms of both action and accuracy.
This is truly an action-packed, real war movie that will leave you on the edge
of your seat.
Those looking for a bit of romance won't be disappointed either;
however. Lt. Storbel has a love affair with a French girl; providing plenty of
relief from the very action packed war scenes.
This is an excellent film in every regard; with fantastic
direction, acting, suspense, action and even a little romance. The details to
accuracy takes it over the top.
