Black Fist

Black Fist, one of the many martial arts films produced during
the mid-1970's, revolves around a young man who works on the streets of Los
Angeles as a street fighter, Leroy Fist.
Fist, who is portrayed by Richard
Lawson, becomes involved with the mob and actually begins working for the local
mob boss. During this time he works with a wide variety of seedy characters,
including hoodlums and even some dirty cops. Eventually he changes his mind and
decides that he wants to try to change his life.
After a receiving a large sum of money from a successful fight he purchases his
own club; however, he discovers that his decision to break free isn't as easy as
he had originally thought. The mob kills his wife and Fist finds himself forced
to seek revenge and retribution for the killing. The process of his revenge
shows a lot of exhilarating and exciting action that will be sure to thrill any
martial arts fan.
This film was also released under the names of Black Street fighter as well as
Homeboy. This is an excellent film, filled with a lot of exciting action and
adventure. Unlike some martial arts films, there isn't a lot of deep
characterization; however, if you're simply looking for a film to wow you for a
couple of hours with some amazing martial arts stunts and tricks, this one is a
winner to choose.
