The Boxer
The plot of this film begins with Boxer Teddy Wilcox, portrayed
by none other than Robert Blake. Wilcox has left his manager and relocated.
Eventually, he finds a new manager and trainer, Nick. Unfortunately, right
before Wilcox’s first fight, Nick receives a threat. Either Wilcox must lose or
Nick will die.
Nick tries to sabotage the fight to save his own skin; however,
Wilcox wins the fight anyway. Realizing what his new trainer has done, Wilcox
becomes enraged and tells Nick to keep away from him or else. That very night
Nick is murdered. Naturally, Wilcox becomes the primary suspect in the case. Now
he finds he must clear his name and find out who really killed Nick.
Filled with suspense, surprise and plot twists this is a film you won’t want to
miss. You will find yourself pleasantly surprised right up to the very last
moment. Even if you’re not a Robert Blake fan this is a film worth watching.
